Making a Faded Border

Konichiwa, HLP surfers! Have you ever wondered how to make a faded border? Well, if you have or if you haven? but you want to know anyway, you?e in luck! If you follow all the instructions in this awesome (?cough*ahem,*cough*yeah, right.*cough* inserted by a random stranger. XD) tutorial, you will soon get a faded border. It? definitely easy and fast so you don? have to sweat over it. Thank god! Shall we get on with it then? Yes, let?.

Instructions

1. Well, of course, the first step is open up Adobe Photoshop and the image you?e using. I? using this one:

2. After you have opened up your image, go to File-New. Match the settings to mine but the Height and Width should be the same as your image:

To find out your Height and Width, go to Image-Image Size.

3. Use the Move Tool (Press V) and drag the image you?e using to the blank document. It should look like your original image. What is the point of this step, you ask. Oh, you?l see soon. XD

4. Click on the Rectangular Marquee Tool (Press M) and at the top of the Marquee toolbar, change the Feather px to 10 px.

5. Then draw a box on your image. When you draw the box, the sides will automatically curve like this:

6. Right-click on your image and then click on Select Inverse. After that, click Delete on your keyboard. Ta-da! You have a faded border! Just save it as a JPEG or a GIF if you want it transparent.
