Coloring 01
Coloring isn? the most important thing in the whole wide world but it sure makes your graphics look a whole lot better. Simple steps to coloring can add all the effects and difference in the world. Coloring can also add originality, creativity and taste. You can always fiddle around Photoshop, playing with Selective Colors and Levels and you will always be able to create a coloring you will be happy with. I am only providing you one way of coloring and if it doesn? look good, fiddle around with it until it does!Ready, get set, GO!
1. Open up Adobe Photoshop and your image. I?l be using this one:
2. Sharpen your image if it is too blurry. To ensure that your image isn? going to be too sharpened when you sharpen it, duplicate the layer by going to Layer- Duplicate Layer. Then go to Filter-Sharpen-Sharpen. If the sharpening is too much, lower the opacity. I lowered mine to a 34%.
3. Duplicate the background layer twice and bring it to the top. Set both of them on Screen. Now, it? way too bright, right? Don? worry, we?l fix it in a minute.
4. Make a new layer and fill it with #041257. Set it to Soft Light. Now, the image looks much nicer but it? still missing a little somethin?somethin?
5. Make another new layer and fill it with #fbe4e4. Set it to Multiply, with an opacity of 68%
6. Make a layer and fill it with black. Set it to Soft Light with an opacity of 29%
7. Now go to Layer-New Adjustment Layer-Curves. Set the Curve Input and Output to mine:
8. After all those curves, your image should look a little green-ish now. That doesn? look very attractive, does it? Set the opacity to 65%
Tah-dah! You?e done! If you don? like what your results come out as, fiddle around with the curves and opacity. You?l surely get a result you like. This is what mine looks like now:
