Blog Effects
Okay, so you want to make a blog like HLP? because you think our blogs are over the top, right? RIGHT? And it seems that there? no blog tutorial that will teach you to make it look like ours but check again, HLP surfers! This tutorial is made by yours truly. In other words, the magnificent Ni! Since I?e only posted one blog on HLP, I will teach you how to make that one because honestly, I don? know what Lauren and Sarah-Anne what they did to their blogs to make them look so good.
1: Find two images or one, if you want it really simple. I chose these two.
2. I?e only got Photoshop so please excuse me. Go to Photoshop and open up the images. If you?e a real beginner and don? know how, go to File- Open.
3. Now, I want to create a new document by going to File and then New. The width should be not more than 450px while the height should not be more than 300px.
3. Once you have a new document, leave it somewhere. Focus on the images. Now for the effects.
4. Duplicate your image and set it to soft light.
5. Go to Layer- New Adjustments Layer- Curves. Under RGB, click on the diagonal line and in Input, write 90 and in Output, write 120. Click OK.
6. Add a new layer and fill it with #DB93F3. Set it to soft light.
7. Add another new layer and fill it with #95CBF5. Set it to Color Burn with an opacity of 73.
8. Add one more layer and fill it with #E5F59B. Set it to soft light.
9. Now, go to Layer-New Adjustments Layer and then Hue/Saturation. Set the saturation level at 37.
10. Pretty sure you?e tired of layers but add one more layer. Fill it with #E0CEB8 and set it at Multiply.
11. Add another layer and fill it with #0E1142 at Exclusion
12. Do the effects with all of your images. It takes quite long but it? worth it. Once it? done, drag your images to your new document using the drag tool.
13. Now blend it with the Magnetic Lasso tool. Right click on Feather and set it to 10 or 15. Then click Delete so it? blended.
14. Use the Rectangle Tool and draw a box. Make sure it doesn? cover one of the main character? faces. Once you draw the box, set the opacity down to whatever you want.
15. Then write some words that are related and ta-dah! You?e done!
It should look like the blog I made.
